The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit
abstracts to be considered for inclusion in the programme. Authors must follow
the guidelines for abstract submission set out below. Abstracts not conforming
to these guidelines will not be considered for presentation.
All abstracts must be submitted in English and must be presented in English at
the meeting.
Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts
previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting
cannot be submitted.
All abstracts can be submitted only via
this website. Please note that
on the abstract submission website you have to 'register' first. Note that
this is the registration to abstracts submission system, different from the
one for regular participation registration - which can be found here: Personal
Data Form. Each system has its own password!
Authors will have access to their incomplete
abstracts by deadline and will have possibility to edit it. Please note that
once you submit or withdraw your abstract you will have no possibility to edit
it!
Authors will be notified about the delivery of
their abstract by e-mail at the address indicated in the abstract
automatically after its submission. Fill in the author’s e-mail address
properly - these contact details will be used in further correspondence.
Abstract will be reviewed by a panel of experts
and selected on the basis of merit for oral or poster presentation. The time
allotted for each oral presentation will depend on the session to which the
abstract is allocated.
Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee will be on
the web by April 18, 2008 and it will be mailed to the corresponding author
until end of June 2008.
The authors of oral presentations will not receive the letters with the
instructions including the date, time, place of their lecture. All
instructions will be on the website.
Accepted abstracts will be published in a Book of
Abstracts which will be distributed at the Congress.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be allowed to pay advanced registration fee
by April 30, 2008. If their registration fee is not paid by 15th
May 2008, they will be charged standard fee.
The registration fee must be paid by 15th
May 2008 . In case
the fee is not paid, the abstract will not be printed in the Book of
Abstracts.
In case of the abstract acceptance the presenting author is expected to attend
the Congress and present the abstract in the session at the time decided upon
by the Programme (Scientific) Committee.
Abstract Layout Instructions
Abstracts will contain text only – graphs and
pictures can not be inserted and will not be printed.
TITLE
Make the title of the abstract brief, clearly indicating the nature of the
investigation. Use CAPITAL LETTERS for the title.
NAME OF THE AUTHOR(S)
Type only the initial of the first name(s), which should follow the family
name(s). Do not include degrees or professional titles.
ADDRESS/INSTITUTION
Type name and location of the department or institution in which your work was
performed.
TEXT OF THE ABSTRACT
Maximum length of the abstract is 250 words (it is automatically limited).We
recommend that the format for an abstract follows the following outlines:

Conclusion
There can be up to 2 references in the body
of the abstract. References should be
numbered consecutively in the text and listed at the end according to the
following style:

Do not include footnotes in the abstract. Please avoid boldfacing, italics
and underlining within the text.
Drug products should be identified by their non-proprietary names only. Trade
names are not allowed.
Please check spelling and grammar carefully - direct reproduction from your
electronically sent abstract text means that any errors in spelling, grammar
or scientific data will be reproduced as submitted.
ABBREVIATIONS
Standard abbreviations may be used. Place special or unusual abbreviations in
parentheses after the full wording at the first time it appears in the body of
the text
